We expected to look at the ad for this Pro Street style 1969 Dodge Dart and find that it had a crate 426 Hemi under the hood with a little blower. We were surprised to find out that instead it is an old school 392 Hemi with a 6-71 Littlefield blower, Enderle injection, and it all runs on Methanol. Yes, yes, and yes! None of the parts in this thing are cruiser street stuff either. It’s got nothing but good parts, the engine and trans are brand new, and it needs almost nothing to be a runner. The guy selling it is hurting financially and needs cash now. We’ve all heard these stories, and this could be the time to jump on this one. Exhaust, a driveshaft, and a couple odds and ends has this sucker ready to tune and race on Rocky Mountain Race Week 2018!
Here is all the info from the seller.

Registration is expired through the build but have clean pink and copy of reg. Have to see it! Nice body and paint! Way to much other stuff to list! We’re in the middle of possibly loosing our house and have to sell it asap! It’s worth a lot more but can’t hold out to get top dollar! $28000 OBO……

Nice car, nice start. Alcohol for the street, takes a ton of maintenance to maintain and 4 to 1 air fuel ratio, going to need a huge fuel cell to go any place! There is a lot more work there than noted to complete this project from what I can see just from the pictures. Put slicks on it and trailer it to the track or at least E85!
This one will keep the tree huggers happy!
As alcohol is made from distilled organic matter such as even wood, its fully sustainable and is much cleaner burning. Unfortunately they are blind to any compromise and drive around in electric cars which are ultimately fuelled by huge coal burning power stations that produce much more pollution than any gas-powered car.
Now I’ll wipe the drool off my chin and get the team together for yet another bank job so I can ship this blue beauty home to north east England….
Needs a big tank in the back for a road fuel, turn a valve and run the alky for serous business.
Hey, I just bought this gem from Ryan this week and it does have a rear fuel cell with a Holley blue fuel pump that feeds the front reservoir. The reservoir has two Holley float bowls that maintain the level. From there the cam driven Hilborn can have everything it needs. Kind of a dry sump deal. I bought the car specifically because of the old 392 Hemi. I have known of the Cook brothers that built the motor all the way back to the Stone Woods and Cook Willys gasser days. (I\’m old!) My plans are to drive it around the Great Labor Day Cruise in Costa Mesa and the Street Machine Nationals Cruise in Pomona CA.
You don’t need that setup to pump fuel to the front tank. If your rear tank outlet is the same or above the pump inlet you wont have an issue with fuel delivery for your mechanical fuel pump/system. Most monster trucks are setup this way. I copied there setup and it worked perfectly.
