Larry “Spiderman” McBride is a drag racing legend. A top fuel motorcycle racer who has won everything there is to win, and set records that mark major milestones in the sport. McBride has been riding a project over the last year or so that’s held our attention. It is an electric motorcycle that runs freaking sevens! This is (in our opinion) the coolest electric vehicle out there!
The motor is a highly modified GE piece and the batteries are high tech Lithium-ion batteries from a company called A123 Systems. We imagine that licking your finger and touching parts of this beast would result in instant death. McBride has ridden fuel bikes into the 5.70s before but still has been on record saying how much of a beast this ‘lectric bike is. It leaves as hard as a fuel bike due to the “instant on” of the electric motor.
