Chris Stinehelfer sent us the tip on this crazy truck vs. building fiasco. The truck gave it to the building for sure, but the brick building made sure to get in a few licks before they hauled the mangled truck away. It sucks that the 100+ year old building is in such bad shape, and we hope that the price of the all you can eat Pizza Buffet at Cici’s Pizza doesn’t go up since their driver couldn’t stay awake long enough to make it down mainstreet. We don’t have video of the truck crashing, but we do have video of the building kicking it’s ass when it’s removed. Plus Chris sent us a couple good photos of the aftermath that you can check out below.
Apparently the town of Bucyrus Ohio was awakened by the sounds of a big rig, who’s driver fell asleep at the wheel, driving into two buildings downtown. Where the hell is Bucyrus? We didn’t know either, so don’t feel bad. Hell, we didn’t know it was Ohio until we looked it up. Turns out it’s halfway between Columbus and Sandusky.
Anyway, the driver falls asleep, plows into the buildings, and receives only minor injuries when the front of the building falls “out” onto his truck. That’s not going to buff out. I bet more than his lifetime Cici’s eating pass was revoked after this deal.
