Video: Chad and Daphne Cruise, and Push, Joe’s 1980 Yamaha Enduro 100 After The Minibike Reunion

You know that we had an awesome time at Joe’s Minibike Reunion in La Crescenta on Saturday, and when the show was over, the fun certainly wasn’t. Daphne and I hit the road on Joe’s mint 1980 Yamaha Enduro 100 after shooting tons of photos and hanging out with all the cool folks that brought their bikes out. The ride wasn’t “officially” part of the event, but all the folks with street legal bikes were encouraged to go out and have some fun cruising La Crescenta and Montrose. We of course wanted to do that too, and so Joe hooked us up with his bike. After having a bit of trouble getting it started, Joe sent us on our way happily cruising down the street. At this point everyone else that was riding had left us in the dust, but we didn’t really care because we were having fun.

Joe’s little 100 is a two-stroke which makes it sound bitchin and makes for a fun little powerband. It makes no power, we never went above 40, and the speedo says 55 is where the danger zone starts. We don’t care. We’d love to own a couple of these little bikes for cruising up the mountain near us for quick rides, and to explore the occasional fire road. This bike was truly a riot, and we had a great time on it, right up until it stopped running.

Watch the video to find out more. Would we do it again? Hell yeah, even if we had to push.

If you missed all our photos from Joe’s Minibike Reunion
