Video Review: The Young Racers

This week, we suffered through The Young Racers for you. You’d think that a Roger Corman flick made in 1963 with that title would offer some B-movie greatness, but alas, this one’s mostly a character study about a womanizing racer and a dude who’s out to uncover his flaws. However, it is set against the backdrop of the European Gran Prix series and has an appropriate volume of very real action footage of Formula Lotus cars at circuits all over Europe. So if that really turns you on, then Netflix this one. If not, pass.

One point of interest if you do watch: according to imdb.com, all the lines for the character Steven Children were dubbed by an uncredited William Shatner.
