BangShift Saturday Movie Day: Lee Majors Kicks Ass In An Electric Wheelchair And The Iconic Fall Guy Truck

BangShift Saturday Movie Day: Lee Majors Kicks Ass In An Electric Wheelchair And The Iconic Fall Guy Truck

Since we had such a great response to the weekend content we ran before the live broadcast of the PSCA Ice Breaker Nationals, we’re going to make a habit of it. I’m clearly going to own Chad’s ass this weekend as I have Saturday shift and have decided to go with a bunch of car chase videos featuring famous dudes in famous cars or trucks. Every video today will feature someone you know, driving the car they are most known for.

The art of the car chase is largely dead. The chases of the 1970s and 1980s were the best because there was no CGI and stunt men were dudes with huge balls that drank a lot and thought they were immortal. Their greatest fear was being thought of as not having the sack enough to perform a jump or stunt and every kid and dedicated TV watcher in America was better for it. These crazy bastards help to set the automotive hooks into guys like me that watched these shows on the living room floor in footy pajamas. Clarification, I never had footy pajamas, but I knew guys that did. That’s my story and I am sticking to it.

This chase is a multi-faceted deal featuring the awesome Lee Majors outrunning a couple of bad guys in a classic Caddy convertible in an electric wheelchair and then kicking their asses in the iconic Fall Guy Chevy truck. The part of this chase with the electric wheelchair is so weird we had to run it first. Honestly, the part with the most awesome 73-87 Chevy truck ever built seals the deal up nicely. Everyone cries about the damned Dukes of Hazzard wrecking Chargers but where are the tears from the Chevy truck fans about the number of bitchin’ half tons that were killed on Fall Guy? This chase rules on all levels.

what would have been even more awesome if the wheel chair exploded into a big fire ball when it hit the bottom.

Every car in there, including the wrecked Olds wagon they used as a ramp, could be a pretty cool project.

Ever notice how many TV show chases from the 70-80’s ended with something going off the cliff?

around 1:10 the parked olds vista cruiser is pre-wrecked along the passenger side when the blue sedan (fury?) rolls over it from the back/ driver side.

I remember reading a story about the cars in this show; they had a jump truck with the engine and trans moved back.I think it was only 2wd too.If you stop the vid about 2;53 you can see the drivetrain in profile about a foot back from where it would normally live!!
