Brutality: Watch How Much Abuse A Jeep Grand Cherokee Can Take Before It Dies

When the Jeep Grand Cherokee debuted in the early 1990s, I though it was awesome…and many other people did too. Nevermind Bob Lutz driving one through plate glass in Detroit to announce it’s arrival, it was somehow a combination of luxury, handsomeness and Jeep lineage and ability that made them move off of the lots. This was the 1993 4×4 of the Year in Petersen’s 4Wheel and Off-Road, for Pete’s sake! It was a brand new Jeep, one that was a little more posh than a regular Cherokee, not as vulgar as a Wrangler, and not as snooty as that one guy down the block with a Range Rover. It was a home run new.

Twenty-five years later, the ZJ Grand Cherokee’s issues have become known: electrical faults, leaks, air conditioning issues. doors that can rot clean off of the hinges in rust-prone climates. To be fair to the ZJ, most issues are fixable and do not mean that they are ready for the scrap heap. But if you add in terminal rust or someone hell-bent on getting rid of the old car in the driveway, then that Jeep becomes another crusher project. Or, in the hands of the tag-team duo of BleepinJeep and Busted Knuckle Videos, we get to see another Grand Cherokee get toyed with before it becomes a store’s worth of soup cans. We do have to give them credit, though…the last bit is one of the more inventive things we’ve seen in quite some time!

What F’in’ dickheads, no, make that with a capital “D”, Dickheads!
I don’t care what type or brand car it is, you don’t take a basically sound vehicle and do this kind of crap to it. Dickheads.

I just hope this doesn’t INSPIRE Chad to go out and hurt himself doing something similar.

Could have been a good trail rig for somebody, but I reckon people prefer collecting “likes” to wheeling and wrenching these days.
