Burnout Fail Or Win? Watch This Camaro Give It A Shot And Judge For Yourself!

Burnout Fail Or Win? Watch This Camaro Give It A Shot And Judge For Yourself!

Seems innocuous enough, right? A early 3rd gen Camaro, looking a touch ratty but sounding like it’s housing a fairly healthy small block, rolls up to the blocks at a burnout contest in Yankton, South Dakota, T-tops off, ready to go. The pad crew makes sure the blocks are in place and ready to go, then proceed to hose down the pad with a ton of water. The second the pad crew gives the driver the signal to go, he goes alright, and the Camaro starts singing a glorious song. But that’s when things go from good to bad quickly. Right in the middle of 3rd gear the one tire that was playing along decides enough is enough and calls it a day, popping hard enough to shatter the back glass and body panels. What I can’t tell is if this is a fail or a win. It sucks the car got hurt, but in burnout contests, going to destruction is the name of the game…look at some of our Aussie friends if you don’t believe that. What do you think?

what the ?? what is with all the strapping down, safety blocks, steel plate with liberal water etc……my god anything would do a burnout on that…..pleeeeese don’t compare this to an Aussie burnout!!

It’s definitely a win – but he won the Special Olympics of burnout contests. I don’t mean to take anything away from the Special Olympics, I’m just sayin’ – allowances are being made, here.

Y’all call that a burnout? I’ve seen stock VWs do better than that.
And whats with the steel plate and all the water? If that POS was a real car it wouldn’t need all that.

It was only a single wheeler, but it made noise and smoke,a lot of damage for a small incedent,we do burnouts much better in australia LOL,wheel speed on a single pegger could have been approaching 400km/h hence awesome destruction

This is my video and my friend Nick’s Camaro that took a blown tire up the Quarter Panel. Surprise you brought this video up, it’s been front page Bangshift.com before a few years ago.
