Carnage Video: Guy Falls off a Motorcycle at 200 MPH, Twice!

Brian’s blog about the guy crashing the Top Fuel bike a few times reminded me that Keith Turk told me about a guy who fell off a motorcycle twice at around 200 mph at El Mirage Dry Lake, and lived to tell about it! It turns out the guy is Ron Cook, and the History Channel did a segment about him that also stars the SCTA’s Lee Kennedy, who is the dude who comes and rescues you if you crash or tells you you’re stupid if you do something dumb (like spin out) when you’re on the track.

Ron Cook has a wild story because he not only fell off his nitroused Kawasaki, but the thing dragged him a quarter mile! He walked away that time, but got beat up pretty good on his next attempt after speed wobble threw him off at the finish line. He lived, then started PureGuts.com to tell his tale and to be an inspiration to others.

Click here to read his own story. But you HAVE to watch this video!
