The one thing we dig about Jay Leno is that he’s very open about his garage and what’s inside. It’s always neat to see what’s going on behind the scenes when he puts out these restoration blog updates, because it shows that real work takes place on the cars that he collects, and that’s a testament to the kind of car guy that Leno is: anyone can appreciate a beautiful, restored machine or a racing legend, but to go through the work, hassle and undoubtedly expense of restoring some of the cars he sees…that’s love. That’s dedication to a hobby, and to do it over and over again on rare and expensive cars…well, that’s Jay Leno in a nutshell. On this tour of the garage, you’ll see the engine from a century-old, front-wheel-drive firetruck that got windowed, and how the block and cylinder were repaired, you’ll see some of the motorcycles he has and get informed on their progress, then he takes you to see one of the long-term restorations, a Briggs Cunningham that has been under the wrench for some time now, and much more.
