Alexis DeJoria is a hard running NHRA Alcohol Funny Car racer. She’s also the heiress to the Paul Mitchell hair products empire, as well as the Patron Tequila fortune. With that on the table we can tell you that this drag racing deal is serious for her. If you don’t believe us, watch this video and watch her take a car off the end of E-Town last year at over 100 mph, pile into the catch net, and instead of walking away, have her car rebuilt to hit the trail again.
This video is cool because it features Scott Weney of S&W Race Cars more than anyone and it centers around his construction of a new car for her last year after the wreck and then bailing the team out of a tough situation that went down this year.
Weney is a crafty guy. Hell, he uses the hydraulic piston used to steady the race car hauler when parked to aid in the repair of a wheelie bar! This is cool video, but, man, that crash is scary stuff.
