Our pal Kevin is the dude behind the lens at Nitro Art Video. He travels the country capturing footage from some of the wildest drag races that happen each season. Each year he releases a compilation DVD of the hairiest wheelies, close calls, and crashes he captures at the drags. A while back he released the first preview of his “2011 Wild Rides” DVD and now he has come back and released the second half. To say that there is pucker factor involved watching this thing would be an understatement.
We’re always amazed at the wheelstands the small tire guys can pull with their hot rods. Getting all that power to the ground on those little bitty tires and hooking them hard enough to pull and carry the front end hundreds of feet is beyond words cool. When they land and wail the throttle again and the front aims for the wild blue yonder a second time, it makes for kick ass video.
Kevin did a great job with the first preview and this second one is also awesome!

And some people say 1/8 mile drag racing isn’t exciting.
I have to agree, 1/8 mile drags are where it’s at. More action for the spectators, and less driveline carnage for the racers.
Split the diff and go 1000′ .
Time to set a new standard .
I’m ready for some racing in spring.
I notice that there’s lots of turbo whistle in these videos. Coincidence?
