Crash Video: Why Street Racing, Even on an ATV is Dumb

Crash Video: Why Street Racing, Even on an ATV is Dumb

We’ve said it before and we’ll probably say it again about six bazillion times before going down for the count, but street racing is dumb. It is dumb in slow cars because well, they’re slow cars. It is dumb in fast cars because those are the ones that normally kill people and make the rest of us gearheads look bad. It is dumb on ATVs because you end up like the guy in this video, which is looking slightly less than heroic and a lot closer to Super Dave Osborne.

What you will see below is a contest, hopefully for bragging rights between a Honda 750cc motorcycle and a Kawasaki 750cc four wheeler. Motorcycles are obviously made and tuned to be fast road going machines. Four wheelers are not. The big knobby tires they roll on are suited to environs that do not sport pavement, especially at high speeds. They are not designed to be run on pavement at full tilt and then steered through a bend in the road, as is clearly evidenced in this video.

This guy must have been sore as all get out the next day. Not only that, he lost and the guy’s name is apparently hemorrhoid. The final statement of the narrator as his pal Hemorrhoid is wrecking is pretty funny in both tone and delivery.

Press play and watch natural selection in progress!
