Drag Video: Three Minutes Of Killer In-Car Action From 422 Motorsports Team Cars – Wheels Up And Gear Jamming Fun!

Jim Amos has been creating killer drag racing video for longer than just about anyone on planet Earth. He tipped us off to some of his latest clips that will be made into a DVD soon that features cars from the vaunted 422 Motorsports team in action at Maryland International Raceway. These old school monsters can really haul the mail and are fan favorites at every strip they appear at. Guys like Dick Estevez  race with this group and their collection of muscled up nostalgia looking super stocks, and FX type machines are fantastic.

In this video, Jim takes us on three runs. Two of which are in manual transmission equipped cars and the other is in a Chrysler product that cranks an absolutely mondo wheelstand that is so big the car won’t settle down and the driver is forced to lift and abort the run. Pay attention to the other two runs though as you’ll see some awesome action of the car we’re riding in chasing down the guys in the other lane. That happens in both videos. It is always fascinating to watch one drag car reel another in on the top end. Horsepower at work!

If you like things that are awesome, you’ll love this video. If you don’t clearly you’re hanging out at the wrong place on the internet. We only deal in awesome here.

Nice video. Let’s see, how not to cut a light, miss a gear, take too much stripe and, most importantly, take off all of your safety gear in the shutdown. Seriously?

  2. Ed Youmans

I didn’t miss any shifts? I don’t believe I was late? I didn’t take anything off in the shut down? I did win both of those rounds though!!!!!
