The interesting thing about nitrous explosions is that their severity doesn’t necessarily line up with the seriousness of the machine involved. Basically, the street car guy is just as likely to really nuke his car in spectacular fashion as the Pro Mod racer is. Hell, this boomer hits hard enough that you can fell it in you chest of the speakers are cranked hard enough.
The video appears to have been shot at a test-n-tune/grudge night at “The Strip” in Las Vegas. The shooter is actually focusing on the pair of cars behind the Mustang that explodes, but he gets his act together quick when it sounds like a land mine explodes right in front of him.
The Mustang is very crispy, but a good response and functional equipment at the drag strip seem to keep it from being a total car-b-que.
