I can’t really judge Dave Newbern for hauling a new rusty Tri 5 1957 Chevrolet project home when he was supposed to just be picking up boats on his recent trip west. I mean I’m more of a ’56 guy, but I’m a ’56 guy because I once went looking at a car that turned out crappy and then saw my ’56 Bel Air wagon “Rusty” sitting in front of a farmers old barn. It had no floors, except whatever the seats were still holding onto, and they were being held up by the frame rails. But at $400 I couldn’t pass it up. That car made me, so I can’t argue with falling for another project. Oh, and I’m the guy that falls in love with projects all the time so again, I can’t judge. Oh and did I mention that Finnegan actually bought it for him? Yeah, it was a surprise and I dig it.

If anything it just proves that Newbern, Finnegan and I are brothers from another mother and so it’s good that we don’t live closer to each other. Otherwise things could be really bad.
