Normal people sometimes don’t understand the stuff that makes us car guys happy. Square body guys are even a different breed, and because some stuff is so hard to find we get pretty giddy when things turn out good. Sure there are a million restoration parts for them, but some models are so unique as to not get served by the restoration community. Suburbans and Crew Cabs in particular share a lot of 2 door parts, but some things are just not crossing over. Items like headliners, rear door panels, etc are hard to find in good shape if you buy a truck that doesn’t have them or that has lived a hard life. I own a square body crew cab dually and am fortunate that my headliner and interior trim parts are in great shape, but most are not that lucky.

There is one source for replacement crew cab headliners, but most folks tend to work with the stock piece and try to recover them or what have you. Finnegan’s original ramp truck is one cool ride that everyone knows, but it has recently gone in for some paint and rust repair. While it was there, Dave and the boys surprised him by redoing the headliner, among other things, for his birthday.
