Hot Rod Garage Mini-Tubs A Chevelle! Check Out The Process From Start To Finish, With The Body Off Of The Frame!

See the man whose face is the epitome of fear? That’s Lucky. You’ve seen Lucky in previous episodes of Hot Rod Garage, but not like this. You see, Lucky has had a problem with his LS-swapped 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle: the damn thing just won’t hook anymore. It is powerful enough that even on a roll, the rear tires are doomed. A nice problem to have, don’t you think? Well, he doesn’t, and even though host Tony Angelo doesn’t agree with Lucky, they are more than happy to start performing major surgery on the Chevelle’s frame to clear mini tubs, with the goal of sticking 315s underneath the back. The kit is from ABC Performance and comes with everything pre-cut and prepared to go with minimal work. There may even have been instructions laid out for the guys to use…maybe…so once they get the body off of the frame, the plasma torches come out and the cutting begins! It’s certainly not a beginner’s project, but the look on Lucky’s face after everything is bolted together just says it all, doesn’t it?
