Hot Six Video: An Aussie Ford Falcon With Turbo Straight Six Power Tears Up the Strip

While Aussie gearheads love the V8 engine as much as their American brothers and sisters do, the history of performance cars down under has been marked with some pretty bad ass six cylinder engines. The latest generation in the hairy six category from Ford is called the Barra engine family. Since 2002, these engines have been produced in varying displacements from 180 to 310ci and power levels from 209hp to 416hp!

What you’ll see in this video is a late 1980s Aussie Ford Falcon stuff with a highly modified and very peeved version of a Barra straight six. We don’t know the displacement or the specifics of the turbo setup, but we do know that it runs 9s at over 160mph and could go quicker than that if it ever decided to run in a straight line!

Pay close attention at the end of the first run. The driver ends up in the other lane past the finish line! It also appears he’s making these wild laps in a t-shirt! Bonzer!
