Micro-Aggression Machine: Continued Work On The 500cc Power Wheels Camaro!

So, what do you drive, again? “A composite-bodied, Subaru-swapped Chevrolet Camaro on air suspension”. Yeah, that line will get you looks from people who know what those words actually mean. In reality, it’s simply the newest machine that the guys behind Grind Hard Plumbing Co. have been screwing together, a Power Wheels Camaro that runs an engine sourced from a Polaris (which is made by Fuji Heavy Industries, hence Subaru). This is just the latest in a string of hot rodded Power Wheels that have come from these guys, and I’ve always wanted to see just how good or bad one of their builds actually is. And I got my chance.

They brought two of their machines out to SEMA 2019: the “Senderella” Jeep that has been clocked doing triple-digit speeds, which was in the upstairs section of the South Hall, and this machine, which was being featured outside near the Ford Out Front display. Ethan from GHPC was greeting fans, and I caught him in a lull. Folks, here’s all you need to know about this little machine: he started it for me and with my leg about a foot away from the side pipe exit on the “driver’s side”, the compression pulsations were stout. I’m not saying my big-ass frame is ever going to fit on or in this contraption, I’m just saying that it’d still break the rears loose if I was able to stay on it. The same story with the Jeep…find a more normal-sized human and they could enjoy the same thrill ride that you see in their videos.

Ethan was also straightforward that things still needed to be sorted on the Camaro build before we see it get thrashed properly, but for now, check out the work that went in before the car came out for the show!
