Video: What May Be The Best Sounding Chopper Ever. Radial Engine Greatness

Greg Mann sent us this Content Submission saying “I know, I know, it’s a motorcycle, but it may have the best sounding engine I’ve ever heard!”, and we have to agree, it’s one bitchin powerplant. That powerplant is a Rotec Radial out of Australia, and is one super smooth torque monster that also seems to rev with ease. We may not be big motorcycle dudes around here, but we sure bet that these are a riot to ride. JRL Cycles builds these machines, and their website is cool because they say right on the site that their bikes are expensive and start well into the 6 figures. They also take as long as a year to build. With that said, they tell you on the site that if you are looking for something that will be cheaper and get done quicker, you should go buy a V-Twin. We love that.

Have you ever seen an air plane with a radial engine where the cylinder go around. The prop is bolted to the cly. And the crankshaft is bolted to the plane frame? I had to see how they did that. Old school teck knowledge. Amazing. But they didn’t use it long. “Look it up”
