Morning Symphony: Cutting A Hemi-Powered 1970 Dodge Challenger Loose In A Drift Pit!

The Dodge Challenger may have been seriously late to the pony car party, but as the years have gone on the strange pony car from Dodge has become a sincere icon of the automotive world. With such starring roles as the star car in Vanishing Point, Death Proof and countless other movies, television shows, music videos and more, the shape of the E-body Mopar, especially the 1970 body style, has become one of the most desired muscle cars out there. And if the word “Hemi” is attached…hoo boy, now the fun can really begin! We aren’t 100% where this footage was shot, but you can see the callout on the cowl induction scoop as clearly as we can: “525 Hemi”. We can forgive the cowl scoop fail for that engine. It doesn’t hurt that the owner lets the Challenger have a little bit of fun blowing the rear tires for a crowd, either. The car has a reputation to live up to, and an adoring public to impress…why not?
