Well, now, this is a bit of a surprise! Mr. Regular, the grunting and slightly concerning voice of Regular Car Reviews, has been traveling the country this year, and for one reason or another, while in the Nashville area, he purchased this: a 1960 Ford Falcon sedan. If this was the mid-Sixties, then the Falcon would be the epitome of a regular car: one of the new compacts that debuted, the Falcon was a popular platform for Ford, used under several model names until 1980 in North America and would be successful in Australia and South America as well. The Falcon is also the source platform for the Mustang, Ford Motor Company’s crown jewel, but unlike the Mustang, the Falcon wasn’t known for power…far from it, it was meant to be simple, basic transportation that offered adequate power, room, and fuel mileage.
Mr. Regular’s Falcon appears to be a well-kept and low-mile example, but there are problems from the start. The car is hemmoraging automatic transmission fluid, starts to spit up coolant, and as he continues along, things start to fail…like the fuel gauge and temp gauge. Once it becomes apparent that the Falcon isn’t pleased with the long-distance trip, Mr. Regular makes a safe call and calls in a favor…and a flatbed. Here’s the first…and latest…videos.
I can’t get the time I wasted listening to this idiot drone back somehow, can I?
I swear he should start a franchise helping people grow ear wax…
