When we scheduled all these interviews to run here on BangShift, we had no freakin’ clue that Morgan Lucas was about the kick eveyone’s ass out in Pomona, but hey, it worked out great for us! Lucas and the Geico Powersports team struggled mightily in 2010 and really had a year to forget. The team is well funded, well stocked, and well manned, so their troubles were high profile. They’ve done a heck of a job exercising the demons to start 2011 though by running the table at the Winternationals.
One of the neat things about this video, looking at it now, after the fact, is the confidence that Lucas exhibits and how he talks about the successes they had during their week at Palm Beach International Raceway. Simply but, the kid had his mojo working in Florida, and the whole team carried it with them to California. Lucas mowed down some tough racers on the way to defeating teammate Shawn Langdon in the finals. His team is off to a great start. Can they keep it rolling?
