When Joe Elliot send us an email and basically said, “Hey! I have the world’s quickest scooter! both Chad and I were not exactly chomping at the bit to write the story. Then I watched the video that you’ll see below and I was absolutely blown away. This little Lambretta scooter has a two cylinder two-stroke engine of unknown displacement, but by the sounds of it the thing is tiny. On the lap you will see here. Elliott goes 11.60/ 114.98-MPH. This was good enough to knock the existing record (who knew there was such a thing!) of 11.83 right off the map. Make no mistake, this is not a scooter that has been all stretched out and made weirdo. It has a big flat seat, a place to put your feet down, a wonky fairing like all little scooters have, etc. It is also not a scooter that has been stuffed with an engine from a Ninja or a Hayabusa or something. It has the motor it is “supposed” to have in it. The only difference is that the engine has been hot rodded to within an inch of its life.
Modern drag racing is lots about the selective restrictions that competitors put on themselves. Stuff like stock suspension classes, 275-radial racing, 8.5-inch outlaw slick tire class, F.A.ST, pure stock drags, and other events are all about going as fast as you can within the restricted rules of the community. We don’t see the scooters as something like that. We see this scooter as a pure exercise in hot rodding. This thing is the prime example of wrenching, tweaking, and improving your junk little by little, as much as you can at a time, and enjoying the fruits of your labor along the way.
We didn’t wake up this morning with the drive and determination to have the world’s quickest scooter but Joe Elliott did and that rules because it is individuality and personal achievement that continue to drive every aspect of hot rodding from top fuel to quick scooter. You may laugh at Joe Elliott because he is different and he’ll laugh right back because you’re the same. We want to buy the dude a pint and while he is enjoying it, raise hell on this scooter. It looks like a blast!

check out some of the youtube videos on this thing being strapped and run on the dyno. I would rock this thing all day!
Fast little rocket but that terrible music ruins the video.
It’s a two stroke single LC 172cc but it’s based on a piaggio(vespa).motor . It’s a lambretta series 6. Kind of like sticking a ford motor in a dodge
Still cooler then penguin piss
