Kyle and Stacy Tucker at Detroit Speed are noted speed freaks. Between their skills on the autocross courses, road courses, and Kyle’s experience at the Baja 1000, driving skills are not questioned in the Tucker household. This video is another example of why. 

Shot during the Opitma Ultimate Street Car Invitational, it is footage of a lap, taken from a roof mounted camera. This is a bitchin’ view because it clearly shows the line that Kyle is taking around the course and how he is clipping apexes and using the whole track to his advantage.

Drag racers talk about the incremental nature of their sport and how little mistakes cost big. The same is very true in road racing. Botching one transition or failing to properly set up for a corner could result in the next several turns being wonky and a lap time that you’d rather bury than brag about.

Kyle’s got some great skills, as you’ll see from the roof cam. As long as no one else is in the room, it is OK to pretend to be driving the car.  We won’t tell.
