Once is coincidence, twice is suspicious, and the third time is a trend. So, I’m putting it out there now: if the guys at Roadkill find another skanky, sketchy car that I’ve written about before and use it in an episode, I’m going to say it’s fate…and review some life choices. First was the Mazda REPU truck better known now as the “Mazdarati” with the Olds 455 setup in the bed, and now the guys have taken control of what might still be the most questionable automotive find I’ve located ever: the “Missing Linc”.

What, exactly is this thing? Take a 1978 Lincoln Continental land yacht sedan. Take a sawzall to two points: Just behind the B-pillar, and just in front of the C-pillar. Make everything in between those two points disappear, weld the rest back together, cover everything in a strange fluffy white and blue cow fur material, and hope that nobody mistakes you for a Value Village pimp. The squared-off dimensions make this Lincoln look as awkward as an AMC Pacer.

So what are the dynamic duo actually doing with twenty tons of bad ideas wrapped up in a customized freakshow? Would you be surprised to know that Lemons is involved somehow? See, Freiburger and Finnegan really don’t have luck at Lemons. The former CarJunkie TV Plymouth Fury just didn’t work, and the Rotsun managed to split the crankshaft of a 4.3L Chevrolet V6 in half after Tony Angelo romped the rustbucket to within an inch of it’s life. But Lemons isn’t just about track racing anymore…they are now doing road rallies. Jim Forbes, our resident mad scientist, took an Edsel on their West Coast trip, but for the ultimate in gluttonous punishment, these guys went on the East Coast trip. In winter. With a cantankerous Lincoln running on 400 cubic inches of smog-strangled big block Ford. Filled to the brim with Waffle House waffles.
