Rust-Replacement At Home: The Rustoleum Valiant Wagon’s Floor Pans Get Patched And Prepped!

Rust-Replacement At Home: The Rustoleum Valiant Wagon’s Floor Pans Get Patched And Prepped!

When it appeared that Australia was going to clamp down due to the pandemic, Scotty hustled to get the Rustoleum wagon home just in case that the country went into full lock-down mode. It didn’t happen, and as a result he’s found himself not working on the A-body wagon, but instead playing with old Commodores and Buick V6s in recent days. Well, he’s seen the error of his ways for the time being and has gotten back into his own shop to get back to work on the Valiant.

If you didn’t see the first installment of this series, the Valiant’s floors were barely one step beyond “non-existent”. Pitted, perforated, sandblasted, call it what you will. This car was RAGGED and it needed some serious patch-panel work to get right, including full floor sections. But since the replacements are also over fifty years old, some patching has to happen there as well. And there’s probably another spot in the body structure to take care of. Nothing moves a rainy day along like a good bit of work being done in the garage, eh?
