If you don’t like a cool custom van, then we probably can’t be friends. It doesn’t have to be a disco style van, because all of them are cool as hell, but I like any cool old van really. I once had the chance to buy a G Van like this one, that had a 283 and a TH350 in it, and a set of big and little Cragars. I was with Kinnan and Freiburger at the Long Beach Swap Meet and I still regret not buying that one back then. Because of the fact that I don’t seem to get rid of projects very often, I think I’d probably still own it. I would love one of these “Scooby Vans” that was lowered, with a nice cruising engine combo, that would be a fun road trip machine to go to events like Power Tour. What kind of van would you like to own?
Would you build up a Scooby Van like this? What style would you go with? Full disco or more hot rod?
In this latest video from Steve Magnante, he’s found a cool old van to talk about in the junkyard. He’s the king of the junkyard crawl, so let’s see what makes this one special.
