Here’s the inevitable comparison: at fifteen, I was elbows deep in a 1979 Chevrolet Caprice coupe, trying to coax the 305 it came from the factory with back to life. Somehow, even after a timing issue turned a 600 CFM Holley into a volcano of raw gasoline on fire, I had the car put together and drivable enough that I was able to make a run up to the mini-mart a few miles away for my first tank of gas. That day was like reaching the summit of a mountain to me. Then you have Weston Anderson here. Dude’s 15 or so, and he’s ripping it up in “Bog Hog”, a Jeep mega truck. There’s some difference there, but the big one is that Weston is Dennis “Grave Digger” Anderson’s stepkid, and has been ripping around with Bog Hog for a few years now in various forms. Weston has enough practice to whip this 1,000 horsepower small-block powered ripper of a machine around the property (playground?) that Dennis has put together for fans of everything off-road, muddy, fast and unbelievably powerful. MidnightMadness4x4 sent us some footage of Bog Hog tearing up the soil at the Muddy Motorsports Park, a little bit of what he could when he wasn’t thrashing his XJ Cherokee around the Tuff Truck course.
Lucky Kid! Hope he knows how to wrench on the thing too, and not just drive it…
