I’m a fanatic over beaters. I’ve had more primer black and primer red vehicles than I care to admit to. I’ve had rides where I didn’t even bother with the primer. But every now and then, you deserve to treat yourself to an absolute cream puff of a vehicle, something with shiny paint, something worth getting excited for. Problem is, keeping a vehicle looking fresh and clean takes some sincere work. We aren’t talking a bucket of suds and the garden hose one day a month, either…we’re talking in-depth detailing, friends. The kind of thing most people will pay someone else to do. But hey, since everybody seems to have a little time on their hands, now would be as good a time as any to practice your cleaning skills, right?
In preparation for this 1980 Chevrolet Big 10 Silverado’s upcoming auction appearance, Vice Grip Garage has more work to do, all of it focusing on cleaning up and sprucing up this one-year-0nly wonder square-body. Polishing up the paint and getting the interior dolled up seem like no-brainers, but putting bedside caps on and re-doing the hood insulation go a long way towards helping a potential buyer make their mind up. So long as Lohnes doesn’t throw an offer on this truck before it actually hits the market, Derek looks to have a winner on his hands!
