I don’t know anyone who has competed in a Red Bull Soapbox Race, but I sure want to put a team together after watching this video. The cars are goofy, there must be some pretty simple rules, and it seems that nobody with any real fabrication experience is interested in having some fun with it. I say this because so many of these cars are trying to come apart by the time they get to the bottom of the first ramp. I can totally see me and Lyle trying this out and having a riot doing it. Like drink lots of beer, laugh, and hope we don’t actually break out necks hurtling down a hill with jumps in things that can’t actually be called cars. You gotta watch this video and laugh. Make sure your neck in limbered up too, because you are going to shake your head a lot while watching this one.

I’m not sure which one is my favorite, because in order to choose I’d have to decide on quick vs best crash vs worst driving and there are just too many to choose from. But no matter what you like you’ll find one or two here that make you smile.
