The Most Epic Roadkill Yet! The Boys Fight The Elements, Swap A Motor, Cruise 2,400 Miles Home!

The Most Epic Roadkill Yet! The Boys Fight The Elements, Swap A Motor, Cruise 2,400 Miles Home!

In my eyes, this is the new episode where all other Roadkills will be measured by. This one combines so many killer elements from the hellacious trip just to get to where the thing is supposed to start to the thrash in Indy itself (which I was a small participant in and make a couple cameo appearances here because of) to the ride home where Finnegan shows up and surprises the hell out of his dad, to the ride all the way back to California, to the drag race results of testing the car once the drive was done, there’s nothing more you could possibly ask out of a gearhead show. This is real life thrashing combined with real life joy and real life fun. In short, this episode is the one (for me anyway) where it ALL comes together. From the people involved to the shops you will see to the very notion of driving a car down the open road with a fuel injection system you just learned to use the day before. These elements make this the best Roadkill ever in my opinion.

Oh, the fact that the guys succeeded in the many phases of this one is great, too. They succeeded in getting the car to Indy, they succeeded in getting the engine swapped, they succeeded in getting screamed at by a convention center lady, they succeeded in shocking Mike’s dad right to his very core, they succeeded in cruising the car home, and ultimately they succeeded in making it the quickest version of the vaunted Crusher Camaro yet. This is 38-minutes of pure, unfiltered win.

I know that LOTS of you tuned into the Roadkill Live extravaganza which was where the LS7 engine was changed in place of the blown rat motor that was providing power and I also know that the most commonly emailed, asked, and posed question to me is, “Did they really drive it home? Did they make it?” My stock answers have been, “Yes, that was the plan,” and “Stay tuned”. For those of you with patience, this is your reward. Here comes nearly 40-minutes of video featuring our intrepid heroes committing to their finest moment and making it roar to life on the small screen. This is BOSS!

Cool to see they actually do what they preached. This should be taught in schools.

lots of fun! would of been interesting to see the difference in ET’s without the rear gear swap.

It was a good episode but I liked the Charger episode more. More creativity in that episode. To me honestly the Alaska trips are by far the best. Mucho better than any they’ve done so far. I don’t know if I’m the only one but I like Road Kill more than I do the magazine right now. I do like the magazine but the content lately has really really sucked. What has happened? I know David step down as editor in chief but still I would of thought that the content would have been better. Last few issues have really been boring. About the only thing I enjoy is the Hot Rod Anything column. At least there is some creativity………

Great episode. The performance of the Crusher at the strip was amazing. David needs to build a 70’s tin Pro Stock hood scoop on a flat hood…that would be sweet. The wheels are already perfect for it.
