Admittedly, I’m way behind schedule with this week’s Parting Shift. I was so deep in the soup that I enlisted the help of my pal and killer artist Stu Wotypka. Stu struck gold with this find from the infamous Rodeo Du Caminos truck drag races held in Canada. In one portion of the event the trucks drag race up a hill with trailers containing a massive amount of weight.
In this video you’ll see a couple of guys furiously jamming gears to win the sprint to the top of the hill. You’ll also see more diesel smoke than you have ever seen in one place before. The freaking sun appears to get blocked out at one point.
Watch these dudes rip though the gears and pay close attention to the truck on the right of your screen for the added bonus fuego!
Thanks for the help brother Stu!
That was freaking cool!!!!
Well now, isn’t that the safest thing you’ve ever seen ? Idiots !
Andamo, you are in the wrong website. You are looking for safetysissy.com
The guy talking in french says the winning truck was going 46mph and it’s “Rodeo du Camion” not “Rodeo du caminos” but it’s no biggie.
And to Andamo: it might not be the safest racing venue but it’s still better than the guys in the Vancouver are racing dady bought super cars (see previous posts).
needs some “Smokey and the Bandit” music . . . “Eastbound and down, loaded up and truckin’ . . . . ”
I sure hope the event’s insurance company doesn’t watch that video. Torqued-over 86,000-pound big rigs running inches apart and separated from huge crowds by relatively measly barriers. The street racing Vancouver preppies are working for the National Safety Counsel compared to what those truckers are doing.
Is that a slight curve in the middle of the strip?
What are they going to do for an encore? Slalom around the Stanley Cup?
you have to dump the clutch on the second yellow when rig racing.
