Tiny Adventures: Going Overlanding In Hopped-Up Power Wheels

For the last couple of years, we’ve been showcasing the builds that the guys from Grind Hard Plumbing Co. have been putting out, especially the ones that involve a Power Wheels toy, a ton of welding wire, and the engine from an ATV of some kind that is way overpowered for the task at hand. They’ve build beasts that can do everything from drift to off-road, and apparently along the way they have inspired others to try out their special kind of madness. Yeah, you read that right…other people are building Power Wheels toys into adult ATVs that would rival the fun quotient of a good quad.

With the culmination of their latest build, the “Col. Senders” Jeep Hurricane/KTM four-wheel-drive unit, the GHPC crew roused a couple other YouTubers together for a trip into the Idaho mountains for a two-day overlanding trip. Hessick Moto, Rather B Welding, and Moto Mule brought their machines out for the grand tour and of course, there were as many cameras around as there would be if David Attenborough were narrating the story of a pair of Parrus major as the sun sets in the west. Laugh at the Power Wheels origins, but this looks like it was an absolute blast and if this continues into something bigger, then let GHPC take the credit for starting it. What a great way to ditch society for a weekend than to hit the hills in some of the most badass toys round.
