The age of the twin-engine dragster has long passed. Sadly, there are very few exhibition runners out there to show the drag fans of today, just how bad ass they were. This video was shot at Beaver Springs Dragway at the 2010 Jalopy Showdown Nostalgia drags and it features a totally rad slingshot with two blown Hemi engines frying the slicks into next week.
Ken Kull was wheeling the car when these videos were taken and there’s more happening in that cockpit than one would imagine. In-car film would be epic from this run because Kull has to be sawing the butterflies back and forth to keep the car on the straight and narrow and smoke billows from the hides.
This is truly cool stuff.
