BangShift member Hemi Joel (Nystrum) may be a Mopar guy, but he’s also the frequent passenger in Jay Brown’s wild, class-winning, FE-powered Fords during the Hot Rod Drag Week races. Joel recently posted two interesting videos that show less of the drag action and more of the behind the scenes of the event on the street, in the hotel parking lots, and in the pits. It’s the real story of how Drag Week competitors work.
The first video shows Jay’s 1969 Mach One in 2007, and the second includes last-minute dyno thrashing on the SOHC engine that was installed in Jay’s 1964 Galaxie.
