Video Bonanza: Baldwin-Motion Machinery in Action!

Video Bonanza: Baldwin-Motion Machinery in Action!

As we eluded to in the previous story about the Baldwin-Motion Phase III GT Corvette, the stuff that rolled out of Joel Rosen’s Motion Performance shop was simply beyond compare in the late 1960s and early 1970s. From his earliest days of swapping 427ci big blocks into first generation Camaros all the way up through the totally customized GT Corvettes, these limited edition cars ruled whatever territory they roamed.

Due to their rarity, we weren’t sure that we’d find much of anything on the web for video showing them in action, shredding tires, or just being generally thrashed on the streets. Low and behold we found three kick ass pieces of video that shows just how nasty these cars are.

To the videos!

Here’s a 1971 Baldwin-Motion Vega packing a 454 and a listed 549hp. The burnout rules, but the giggle at the end is a great capper.

Here’s a 427ci, 4-speed Baldwin-Motion machine at the digs!

Here’s more than five minutes of video shot from the front of a 1971 Baldwin-Motion modified 454ci Chevelle. Fight past the schmaltzy small talk at the beginning and listen to this thing work! If you are pressed for time, skip right to about 4:30 and wait for the hammer to drop and tires to shred into eternity.
