Video: Rocky’s Evil Twin Dragster Makes Debut at Eagle Field Drags

Rocky Phillips is the guy behind the Eagle Field Drags in Central California, where old school rods and race cars run down the Eagle Field runway flag start style with tire smoke for the first 1/8th mile. He’s cool in anyones book because he had the stones to put together events like this, but to take it to a new level he decided to build his own twin-engine dragster as well. This past weekend’s Eagle Field Drags marked the debut of the “Evil Twin” dragster, and we’ve got video of the action. We are so jealous of Rocky, and want to drive a twin engine car bad.

Rocky has been building the car and documenting the whole thing right here at BangShift.com in our project car forums so here is the link to the blog item talking about the build. We are so proud to say we know a guy that built a twin engine car that actually runs and works. Rocky, you rule.

Here are two of his three videos

I’ll shave the beard off or get a nomex sock for it!

To take front engine dragster and twin engine dragster off the list with one pass would rule all. ALLLL ALL ALLLL!!!!

Wow! ‘Complete with pie-crust cheater slicks! Cool!

C’mon, Ron, who’s gonna be the guest pilot?

Of course, Chad is the most likely candidate…

Deal is DONE…… Chad WILL be wheeling the EVIL TWIN sometime in 2012…. we’ll get him a date soon…..glad I could make it happen.

And I just can’t hide it!

Wheeling the Evil Twin will rule all. I’ve driven a LOT of cool cars, but never a front engine digger or a twin engine. Rocky rules all. Seriously rules all. I can’t wait til May.

The quickest thing I’ve driven on a Drag Strip was a Pro Stocker, and the quickest I’ve been in a Dragster is 8.0, but it was a normal Super Comp car. Never been in a front engine car. This is going to rock.
