Lots of aftermarket companies have neat company cars. The range from mild street machines that display their products at shows and events to hard core race cars. Holley has one of the coolest with their 1967 Chevy “shop truck” that’s been on the Hot Rod Power Tour, competed at the Optima Ultimate Street Car Invitational, made countless laps down multiple drag strips, been autocrossed, and driven hard all over the country. The truck is a cool mix of modern tech with its LS engine, fuel injection, and modern day front suspension, classic spartan pickup truck goodness with its radio delete, passenger visor delete, and steel door panels, along with subtle but great styling modifications like raising the bed floor by two inches to get the right stance. It is a well thought out and super well constructed truck. Chad and I have both openly drooled over it in public…multiple times. They asked us to step away from the truck the last time they saw us coming. Sorry, guys.
In this video Tom Tomlinson of Holley and Chuck Hanson of Chuck’s Garage and television fame climb over, under, in, and around the truck showing you every square inch. You’ll see the motor, interior, suspension system, and all the neat tricks employed by Holley to get the look and performance they were looking for. Next time we’ll have a towel to mop up after ourselves, we promise!
