Video: Wescott Runs 8.221 @ 162.72 at the National Open in Valdosta in his Super Stock Hemi

Wayne Jesel of Jesel Valvetrain Innovation just sent us video of Charlie Westcott Jr. running 8.221 at 162.72 miles an hour during the Division 2 National Open this past week in his Warfish Barracuda. The Westcott camp, with help from Jesel, has been on a tear this year. When the SS/AH cars got their own class a few years ago, and were running in the 8.50s, people thought that was insane. Here at BangShift.com, we don’t think the insanity is over. With Westcott, Barton, and others building 426 Hemi’s that rival Pro Stock engines technologically, we wonder how long it will be before someone puts one of these cars in the 7s. 2 tenths is a long way to go, but we’re positive that teams are not going to stop tweaking on these combos anytime soon.

Check out the video from the 8.22 second run below, and also check out a couple other killer Charlie Wescott Jr. Warfish videos further down the page.
