There’s not a BangShifter among us who has not lost the handle on their car at least once. Maybe it was on a snowy road, a wet highway, or on a race track where you dipped a toe over that fine line of control. For this guy, it was on some kind of a cruise. Unfortunately at the point he lost control of his car, there were motorcycles and a truck parked. Murphy’s law being what it is, he avoided the low speed crash with the truck which would have resulted in minimal damage and wiped both bikes out, hard.
When you watch the video pay close attention to the proximity of the motorcycles to what seems to be a cliff face after they were struck. Another foot here or there and they would have fallen a long way down. The guys with the motorcycles are obviously displeased that their bikes have been rendered into assorted motorcycle parts.
Part of us feels bad for this guy. He dipped his toe into the throttle and it all went sideways, literally, from there. Although he came damned close to hitting the guardrail in the beginning of the video, so maybe he needs another hobby. Oh, and the helmet slowly rolling into the frame after impact is kind of artsy.
There are a couple of swear words uttered by an angry motorcyclist in this one, so beware!
Talk about “Up on the wheel”. Drive it Junior.
Not only was he already sliding when he went into the curve, when the rear started to slide he barely counter steered, I think he can’t drive.
Did you notice at the end of the vid he seems to be looking at returning on the road… fleeing the scene? Drunk driver?
Not like that road has claimed enough motorcycles and cars thru the years, the crosses at the corners act more like guardrails. Drive thru there in the rain, we came around a blind corner and fred flintstone must of been working the quarry in the middle of the road.
Goddamn Commodore pilots are crap drivers all over the world…over here (Australia) they are dime a dozen, unfortunately – so all the cheapass drivers and youngies over here end up in them (mainly 4 doors but same car..). Even the basic models have a 3.8 l V6 which is enough to get themselves in trouble…OK, maybe I’m being harsh on what you guys think of as a GTO and a bit rare but honestly over here Commondores (or Commonwhores) are considered a bit low rent…good to see this fellah is keeping traditions alive…
At least nobody was on the motorcycles, which is what I worried about when I saw the headline.
This was near the Rock Store on Muholland Dr. in the hills near Malibu and Calabassas in So Cal.
