From the start: this Duramax Chevrolet is a bad, bad sumbitch. The burnouts are epic, the driver unrelenting, and the fog bank created by just the tires alone was probably visible on weather radar systems. For that, we say well done. But take note of something: there’s an element of competition going on between the old man in the Duramax and his son’s turbocharged LS-powered Chevy K-Series. That has to make you wonder: how many of these father-son competitions are you likely to find running their rigs at 10/10ths at the same event? That’s what the 1320Video crew stumbled upon at the Street Car Takeover event in St. Louis, and honestly, it’s awesome to see. But we get the feeling that the old man can claim a win in this battle…at least, right up until he gets around to removing a ton of rubber dust off of and out of the back of that truck!
