Dash cam videos from foreign countries have become some of our favorites to troll through on YouTube. We were actually tipped off to this one by BS reader J. Daniel Jones. It shows a dash cam perspective of a driver completely spacing out and landing on the gas instead of the brakes. Instead of stopping in plenty of time, the car hurtles full throttle between some gas pumps and then straight into the store portion of a gas station!
We don’t know how this happened or where it happened, but it certainly is wild to watch. The car kind of lurches as it approaches the intersection and then it goes right to WOT, you can hear the motor screaming, and there is no braking until the building the car hit’s takes care of it. It seems unfathomable that a driver could really freeze like this and not get on the brakes in time, but over and over again, studies and investigations prove that it happens.
Next time you are at a gas station, keep one eye looking over your shoulder!
