Freiburger and Finnegan are back with their newest episode of the web-show “Roadkill”. In this episode, the dudes take a $400,000 Lamborghini Aentador and a rat rod built as a promotional car by Sailor Jerry Rum out of the highways and byways of California to see which one is more fun, attracts more attention, and tickles their hot rodding bone more. There are some pretty funny hi-jinks along the way including one stalled Lambo and one high sided rat rod.
The guys are brutally honest in their assessment of both cars, which is good. No one is trying to look past or sweet talk anyone hard enough to convince them that the rat rod is some sort of ergonomic, comfy, cruiser and on the other side of the coin, neither of the guys is going full on fan boy with the Lamborghini, either. The two cars will appear on the cover of the totally redesigned Hot Rod Magazine next month, so along with the video, the dudes were also working this story for the magazine and the cover photo shoot. This was a pretty fun day at the office for DF and Finnegan!

I was enjoying the video up to the part where the person in the Lamborghini started using inappropriate terms for senior persons he saw in his travels. That was enough for me I turned it off.
I hope Road Kill and Bangshift do not share his disrespect for older people like myself, there are many of us that still build, drive, and love our cars just as much as young folks.
Me and my friends have been discussing the complexity of building a rod for the street with rat rod accents.
This episode of Roadkill proved many of my points and helped enlighten my friends.
It also came as no surprise that girls loved the rat while ignoring the lambo.
Great episode – for a real laugh have a look at it on youtube – never saw a clip generate so many comments so fast….on the one side you have the rat rod/hot rod/ muscle car guys, and on the other the rabid poster worshipping lambo fanboys who want to lynch Frieburger for daring to suggest that the lambo is `not that fast’- these wankers can’t get their heads around the possibility that home mechanics can build cars that make more HP than that heap of tupperware lambo…
The best thing about this, other than that I think they were both too kind about it, is what absolute pieces of S*** those rat rods, and really, any of the extremely slammed, chopped and channeled cars are. They aren’t cool at all, they are crap, and I don’t care if if finished nicely or not, they are for the most part, non functional. A car is useless if it is not fun to drive and fully functional in one area at minimum, and at least somewhat functional in other areas. I know people drive rat rods long distances. I’ve seen them with expanded mesh floors, bent connecting rods for steering arms, etc, etc, etc. Clwon cars, indeed. Deadly clowns. It’s not about style. Its about function. There are a LOT of cars I care nothing for, but can easily see they are functional cars, and if that’s what the guy wants, so be it. But these things are an abomination…
No harsh opinions about either car here, build or buy what you like and drive (or show) it!
Meanwhile, how many of the 183 other TV shows out there would do a comparison like this? And it made perfect sense to me. Plus, the show was funny and entertaining in general.
I wish more of DF’s video ideas would make it to mainstream TV, but then again if it were mainstream it would be a little less fun perhaps?
These roadkill videos have me watching. I will watch the next one for sure.
Good job Freiburger and Finnegan!
I want one of those hamburgers!
And, then I want your job!
“Ha” , “Ha” , “Ha” thanks guys as always another great show!
(am I’m not kidding, I really want one of those hamburgers…)
