(One of the wildest racing videos we have ever published, people went nuts….for good reason watching this video. It literally never gets old) This is easily the craziest drag racing video we have seen in a very long time. The footage comes from the YouTube channel of ProLine Racing Engines and it features racer Jere Etheridge and his Mustang literally taking flight at the end of a run. It is amazing how long this thing stays standing in an almost vertical position before landing on all four wheels and coming to a stop. This is amazing because the guy doesn’t hit anything. We’re sure the suspension needs to get looked over, but the fact this thing landed and seems to be totally intact is miraculous.
UPDATE: We have added a second video from Mark Walter who live broadcasted the event this weekend. Mark’s footage is even better and shows the car from the front on so you can really tell how far it flew and how steep it was!

“Sheesh, a million Mustangs and I gotta get Pegasus…”
Another angel – Jere Etheridge Wheelstand in Radial vs. the World – http://youtu.be/EFEo5z4uXIY
He carried the no-wheels stand for a long long ways, wow.
that is wow! unbelievable! the way it landed on all fours, had me holding on to my breadth.
I believe in an interview later in the day, Jere said that his computer showed that the back tires were off the ground for 3 seconds.
he should head over to cordova,il. for the wheelie contest they have there he’s a winner.
I’ve seen some wild stuff before, but I believe this beats all!
So, about that front-end down-force…
If you look close I think I can see the shadow of a helocopter and cables
I’ve been drag racing since I was 16 and have seen a lot of wild stuff. But this tops everything.
I just uploaded another angle to the Chassisworks Facebook page. Video was shot by Chase Collins; Chris Alston’s grandson.
