Well, it appears that Deboss Garage is stuck with the S197 Mustang that they had picked up as an engine donor for a Bronco swap that they originally were planning to do. Since every big-body Bronco in Canada seems to be either spoken for or has returned to the Earth from where it came, the overly-riced Mustang, the one that was fitted with a crate Boss 302, is now getting an unplanned extension on life. Why? Well…it’s a Mustang, and one with a screamer of an engine fitted. Since the Bronco program isn’t happening and since this year has been an absolute crapshoot, Rich has decided to get to work on polishing the turd and until he’s got a Bronco in his hot little hands, he’ll get the Mustang built into something respectable.
On this episode, it’s time to address a couple of things that were problematic on the car: the shock situation and the tires. He cooked off the Michelin Pirellis in the last video, so new tires were on the menu, and with them some suspension parts that weren’t super sketchy couldn’t hurt for some drivability improvement. A mod or two to make things fit aren’t going to hurt a car that nobody is really worried about hurting, and if anything, it might get the Mustang a permanent stay of execution. That Boss 302 will get raided, but maybe a Coyote swap would be in the cards later on?
