The 16th annual World Power Wheel Standing Championship is in the books. The brain child of Byron Dragway owner/operator Ron Leek, the contest has grown from small freak show to massive drag racing event, replete with television coverage and blown out grandstands. This year’s contest had a purse of $60,000, more then enough to encourage a ton of guys to smash their stuff for glory and money.
You’ll see a huge range of cars and wheelies in this video. The take offs are one thing but we always pay close attention to the violence of the landings! There are some beat up front ends at the close of this event!
