And they grip! Asphalt, dirt, snow, whatever…pull back the brake, engage launch control, floor it until the car starts popping like a firing range and hold on for dear life, because you’re going to learn something about physics today!
So how do you accurately test the tractive nature of a rally car that can dig down into snow and get busy with no issue? The Hoonigan guys devised a setup: a track that looks suspiciously like a full-sized Hot Wheels racing surface, and the dish soap you clean oil-coated duckies with by the gallons. Surely, there is no way on the coldest day in Hell that a Ford Fiesta rally car can hook and book on an automotive Slip ‘n’ Slide, right? 600 horsepower can’t overcome the super-slick layer of blue goo, right?
