The name Cosworth conjures up images of Formula One cars screaming around European road courses. It also conjures up the name of the rare Vega model that used an engine topped with a cylinder head that the company designed. The company has been around since 1958 and over the years has been involved with OEM work and racing engines primarily. They had a 43-year streak in Formula One where at least one team was running a Cosworth engine.
The company is still in the F1 engine business and contracts with OEMs on projects ranging from complete engines to structural design consulting and other really cool stuff. Generating renderings of their work is an important part of presenting it to the public and showcasing exactly what is in the pipeline.
We were tipped off to an incredible blog post showing some of the renderings that have been done of projects recently. Using powerful computers and even more powerful human brain power, a Cosworth employee named Yusuf generated a series of mind-blowing renderings that look all the world like high resolution digital photos.
You really have to see this to believe it! Remember, these are NOT photos.
Thanks to BangShift.com member Horsewidower for the tip!
